The long waited, the legendary, mighty and quite blunt Emerald warrior and Master-At-Arms of the Silver Talon, Cerberus Spiketail. He first appears at the begining of the "Enter the Mythril" story, actually opening the sequence of chapters, accompanied by Tal'kar Darkflame. fav.me/d29z588
It is unknown when or where Cerberus hatched, but certain and now forgotten stories only the eldest dragons know tell of the Emerald warriors being present, already veteran fighters when the Roman Empire was at its apex of glory. He and his older brother, Acheron, have been said to have travelled even to the Ancient Far East, resisted the toughest conditions of the planet, engaged the strongest creatures of old, and learned whatever they could from each of their cultures, history, and mostly noticably, combat skills. Some say that both brothers did not belong to a specific clan, or that they were banished from one, or even that the previous Mythril has wiped their clan out, effectively making them nomads. However, they both possessed a strong sense of identity with their kind, much like their ancestors, the Prime Dragons, children of the Ninefold Dragon, Io.
They first encountered the Silver Talon clan in one of their journeys to the Western Kingdoms, and they quickly became attached to the clan. There, they met the Azure Destrinius, the Ruby Tal'kar, the Silver Adhelaide and a few others, and through them, the High Elder of the clan, the Golden Xenarius. During the years of King Arthur, both Cerberus and Acheron served loyaly in battle for their clan and the Kingdom against the forces of tyrany and opression, and even after the once and future king's departure. However, Acheron was slain during the first years of The Crusades by an English ambush. The Silver Talon suffered a few losses and they moved to Scotland, but Cerberus forever lost faith in humans, fighting now for the survival of his clan and friends. Tal'kar stood for Cerberus after his loss, and they developed a strong friendship and a partnership in combat that was almost a match to Cerberus and Acheron's.
Later on, they met the Sapphire female, Kilyne, who both Cerberus and Tal'kar fell for, but eventually it was the Ruby who got to keep the lady. Far from being angered at it, Cerberus was quite pleased, and he had chosen not to allow his grieve to reach the female, mostly represented by his now normally gloomy attitude. Years passed, and Cerberus was offered a position as an Elder of the clan along with Tal'kar, both for their specific skills, which he declined, for he did not wish to lead with bitterness. Instead, he offered to become the clan's Master-At-Arms and trainer for the new generations, Allastor and the other hatchlings included.
Cerberus stands out for his increadible strength, an indomitable will, his skills in more forms of combat the Elders could count and his indomitable will to fight for a cause to the death. He possesses vast knowledge in several combat styles and forms from around the known world. He tutored the hatchlings from the new generation, and he was never soft on them, knowing an enemy would never show mercy in combat. He openly disobeyed the Elders about training Allastor beyond a certain point, and in fact he defied Osthilia once when he was given notice, provided Tal'kar himself was also forbidden to teach him much his knowledge in Arcana. He is also a great strategist. He also possesses knowledge in various areas on an intellectual level, and even some Arcana, but Cerberus is known for being more physical, not to cast spells or to be diplomatic. He's one of the few dragons of the clan that would not pray or seek aid or acceptation from their patrol deities, like Bahamut, Tamara or even Io, although he acknowledges their possible existance and respects them to a degree. His element is supposed to be acid, but he never produced more than a cloud of toxic and suffocating gas against an opponent he would rather slay with his massive enchanted mercurial sword. This weapon holds a spell that grants the blade the ability to reflect spells back at their caster when the correct mantra is pronounced.Voice
